Biography of Stephanie Swift

Born Melody Clark in Louisiana, February 1972, Stephanie Swift moved to California at ten years old. Boasting a mixed Cajun, Irish, English, French, Spanish, Filipino and Norwegian heritage, Stephanie was blessed with exotic good looks, which led to an early interest in modelling.

After graduating from high school in 1990, she began to study Dental Assisting in San Diego. Despite working part-time in a dentist office, she found studying to be a great financial strain. To pay the bills, Stephanie began stripping at a local club, where she was nicknamed China for her doll-like features. After six months at the club, Stephanie could no longer stand the cigarette smoke. She quit and decided to try nude modelling.

After working as a popular nude model with private photo clubs for five years, Stephanie started to realise the power of her naked body. During this time, she passed her dental exams and became a registered Dental Assistant. However, her forays into nude modelling had already inspired her to follow a slightly different career path.

On her 21st birthday, she attended a Los Angeles audition for the Playboy Channel. Although thousands of girls auditioned, Stephanie was one of just ten lucky finalists. She was chosen by the channel and soon completed her first softcore scene in Playboy’s Up Close and Personal. In 1994, she followed this with her first hardcore scene in a film called Space Sirens.

After making her hardcore debut, Stephanie would go on to star in over 300 films. Generally cast as a rather prim character, she showed fans her naughty side in filthy anal scenes. Openly bisexual, she also became famous for her many memorable lesbian scenes. In real life, Stephanie has admitted to preferring relationships with females to those with male partners.
After some years with companies such Vivid and Elegant Angel, Stephanie signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures. During her 6-year career with Wicked, she appeared in some of their best productions, including Sex Safari, Chances, Wicked Sex Safari and Dream Quest, which was Jenna Jameson's last Wicked production. However, her favourite Wicked performance was her role in Makin’ It, which allowed her to embrace her love of singing.

In 2004, Stephanie launched her own production company, Swift Entertainment. Through this, Stephanie has started to write, direct and produce her own adult films. The first of which, Swift Tours, was shot on location in Brazil and is expected to be a massive success.

After over a decade in the industry, Stephanie’s prolific career was recognised in 2006 when she was inaugurated into the AVN Hall of Fame. Since then, she has designed her own adult novelty toy line and has been immortalised in an anatomically correct Stephanie Swift action figure. The figure shows Stephanie sporting a red schoolgirl outfit and is a fitting tribute to one of the porn industry’s most beloved actresses.
