Biography of Marie Luv

In November 1981, Marie Luv was born in California. She grew up in a large family of seven children and her brother, Nick Da’Kannon, is also a famous porn star.

At just 12, Marie lost her virginity to a long-term boyfriend. The couple stayed together for a few years, although they split up at 15. Marie went on to have a happy high school life and after graduation, she attended junior college for a year. During college, she met Jake Steed, a porn producer, although she was blissfully unaware of his occupation.

When they started dating, Jake inevitably asked Marie to appear in one of his films. Initially, she was reluctant to do so but he offered her a lot of money and she soon changed her mind. After this, Marie began performing in adult films under the name Destiny and she also modelled for a number of adult magazines, including Hustler. However, after just a few months in porn, people outside the industry began to find out about Marie’s career. She retired, moved back in with her mother and tried to break into mainstream modelling.

For two years, Marie drove a forklift truck and focused on straight modelling. Unfortunately, when attending a shoot, somebody showed one of Marie’s porn films to her mother. Her mother was furious that Marie hadn’t told her about her porn career yet admitted that she would support her daughter on any career path. With the approval of her mother, Marie went back to porn and renamed herself Marie Luv. Once back in the industry, Marie started modelling for explicit magazines and soon started to appear in hardcore films.

Unlike many African American actresses, Marie is not typecast in the ‘ghetto booty’ genre. While she is happy to do these films, she also appears with many non-African American actresses and is particularly well known for her interracial scenes with white males.
